Abstract

Body, Surveillance and Ethics PhD Thesis Mgr. Martin Charvát, Ph.D. Abstract The aim of my dissertation thesis is to analyze the dispositions of non-normative ethics as presented in works of M. Foucault, G. Deleuze and J. Derrida. My hypothesis is that non- normative ethics must be conceived as an interpretation and thematization of the meaning of the relationship between body, surveillance, event and experiment. What brings together Foucault, Deleuze and Derrida is the critique of externally constituted moral codes that are always creating a historically-economically-polico-socially determined subject, or certain norms of conduction and behaviour that are considered to be "good" or "right". However, the above-mentioned authors have based their conceptions on the belief that the human life should be characterized by freedom, or the potential of articulation of an individual (or his behaviour/action), regardless of external moral determinations. Foucault, Deleuze and Derrida distinguish the possibility of a constant crossing of given institutional and socially grounded constraints, with the goal of the constant shaping of ones live that would not be restricted by normative and prescriptive rules. Tělo, dohled a etika Dizertační práce Mgr. Martin Charvát, Ph.D. Abstrakt Cílem předložené dizertační práce je analýza předpokladů nenormativní etiky tak, jak je předložena v díle M. Foucaulta, G. Deleuze a J. Derridy. Hypotéza předložené práce zní, že nenormativní etika musí být myšlena skrze interpretaci a tematizaci významu vztahu mezi tělem, dohledem, událostí a experimentem. To, co sdružuje Foucaulta, Deleuze a Derridu je kritika externě konstituovaných morálních kódu, které vytváří vždy historicko-ekonomicko- politicko-sociálně determinovaný typ subjektu, respektive určité normy chování a jednání, které jsou považovány za "dobré" či "správné". Výše zmínění autoři vycházejí z přesvědčení, že to, čím by se měl lidský život vyznačovat, je svoboda, respektive potenciál artikulace jedince (či jeho chování/jednání) bez ohledu na externí morální určení. Tím Foucault, Deleuze a Derrida bytostně vyznačují možnosti neustálého překračování daných institucionálně- společensky zakotvených omezení s cílem konstantního utváření vlastního života, který by nebyl omezován normativními a preskriptivními pravidly.Téma svobody je dáno do kontextu experimentálního utváření nás samotných, které se odehrává v okamžiku nejistoty, radikální trhliny schemat myšlení a jednání, což vede k tematizaci vztahu mezi etikou a událostí....
