Transplantace dělohy jako cesta k mateřství

Abstract

Tato práce se zabývá relativně novou metodou asistované reprodukce. Nahlíží na transplantaci dělohy feministickou optikou a na teoretické úrovni se zabývá jejími potenciálními přínosy a riziky v širších etických a společenských souvislostech. Skrze kritické čtení a myšlení odkrývá, jak je konstruováno ženství a mateřství v jednotlivých diskurzech právě v souvislosti s transplantací dělohy. Prostřednictvím kritické diskurzivní analýzy se proto zaměřuji na texty vyprodukované na toto téma v rámci populárního a odborného diskurzu a odhaluji, s jakými genderovými stereotypy a konstrukcemi pracují pro podporu svých argumentů. Tyto oblasti našeho každodenního života mají ve společnosti velkou moc a ovlivňují to, jak vnímáme a konstruujeme realitu, a tím se podílejí na jejím vytváření. This thesis describes relatively new method of assisted reproduction. Uterus transplantation is viewed from feminist perspective, and its potential benefits and risks in wider ethical and social contexts on theoretical level are being considered. It reveals how womanhood and motherhood are constructed in different discourses in context of uterine transplantation through critical reading and thinking. By using of critical discourse analysis I focus on texts produced on this subject in the popular and professional discourse and reveal what kind of gender stereotypes and constructs they are using to support their arguments. These areas of our everyday lives have great power in society and influence the way we perceive and construct reality and thus participate in its creation.
