Bezdomovci: svébytná součást života společnosti

Abstract

Práce pojednává o problému bezdomovství v České republice, jeho charakteru a rozsahu i o jeho souvislostech s životem společnosti. Jejím cílem je analýza problému z různých úhlů pohledu, deskripce méně známých skutečností a návrhy možných způsobů nakládání s tímto jevem. Text otevírá stručný úvod do tématu, který zahrnuje obecný popis problému a krátký historický exkurz. Následuje oddíl, v němž jsou uvedeny definice bezdomovství o různém stupni obecnosti, včetně příkladu z praxe. Zde jsou vyjmenovány i možné formy bezdomovství, zmíněn jeho rozsah v České republice i Praze a obecné demografické charakteristiky bezdomovské populace. Závěrem oddílu text seznamuje čtenáře s pojmy sociální exkluze a kultura bídy.

This diploma thesis deals with the problem of homelessness in the Czech Republic, with its nature and extent, as well as with its connections to the life of the society. The aim of this work is an analysis of the problem from different points of view, a description of less known facts, and proposals of possible ways how to deal with this phenomenon. The text is opened by a brief introduction to the subject. It contains a general portrayal of the problem and a short historic overview. It is followed by a section, where different definitions of homelessness are presented, including an example from the praxis. The possible forms of homelessness are named here, mentioned its extent in the Czech Republic and Prague and general demographic characteristics of the homeless population. At the end of the section the text introduces the terms social exclusion and culture of poverty.
