Velkoměsta v 19. a 20. století - křižovatky změn. Urbanistické strategie v komparativní perspektivě

Abstract

Tato práce se zabývá tenzí, jež provází každé lidské sídlo, tedy napětím mezi kulturní a hmotnou pamětí na jedné straně a vizí, prospekcí na straně druhé. Cílem této práce je formulace otázky, zda lze z konkrétních historických souvislostí některých evropských měst 19. a 20. století s přihlédnutím k řadě jiných měst vyvodit typologii strategií sídelní dynamiky evropských velkoměst 19. a 20. století.. Téma práce lze shrnout do několika subtémat: urbanizace jako jeden ze základních rysů 19. století, chronotop měst 19. století a zrod urbanistické reflexe, modernizace a industrializace jako konstitutivní momenty zrodu průmyslového města, elektrifikace jako jeden z nejmarkantnějších příznaků urbanizace stále ještě venkovské společnosti 19. století, kanalizace jako neviditelná podzemní civilizace, která přinesla do měst do té doby nebývalý hygienický komfort, změněná (oproti 19. století) podoba měst 20. století a konečně postmoderní tečka za zbytnělými ambicemi moderny. Zrod urbanismu jako teoretické reflexe souvisel s pronikavou změnou v prostorové, sociální, ekonomické a kulturní skladbě měst. Těžištěm práce je však komparace čtyř důležitých urbanistických strategií: haussmannizace Paříže, asanace Londýna, cesta k Velkému Berlínu a výstavba Ringstrasse ve Vídni. This dissertation goes into tension which is pmi of every seat, i. e. follows rift between cultural and material memory on the one hand and vision and perspective on the other hand. The aspiration of this degree work is formulating question, whether one can assume that is possible from the concrete historical context of some European cities in 19th century and 20th century taking account of the cities from another cultural tenitories to deduce typology of policies of urban dynamics ofthe European lm·ge cities in the 19th century and 20th century . Subject ofthis work can be resume like this: urbanization as primary meaning of 19th century, chronotop of cities in the 19th century and emergence of urbanism and town planning, modemization and industrialization founding origins of industrial cities, electrification, sewerage, appem·eance of cities in the 20th centmy and at long last postmodemist epilogue. This thesis focuses attention on urban strat egy of four cities: Paris, London, Berlin and Vienna. Investigates the ways ofWestem ideas ofurban society.
