Milost ve Vyznáních sv. Augustina

Abstract

The aim of this work is to outline Augustine's analysis of the doctrine of grace in his autobiographical work, Confessions and subsequently, to estimate the benefits of the concept of manifestations of grace in Confessions for the life of the Christian at the present time. In the first part, the socio-historical background of St. Augustine's life will be discussed followed by his biography and then will follow a brief treatise on Augustine's doctrine of grace. The second part introduces an outline of Augustine's Confessions. There will be a description of the work as a theological autobiography, its structure and its content. In the third part, the concept of manifestations of grace in Confessions will be elaborated, which will be followed by a reflection on the contribution of this concept to Christian life at present. Cílem této práce je nástin rozboru Augustinovy nauky o milosti v jeho autobiografickém díle Vyznání a následné přiblížení možností přínosu konceptu projevů milosti ve Vyznáních pro život křesťana v současné době. V první části bude nejprve pojednáno o společensko-historickém pozadí života svatého Augustina, následovat bude jeho životopis, dále pak stručné pojednání o Augustinově nauce o milosti. Druhá část představí nástin rozboru Augustinových Vyznání. Bude zde uvedena charakteristika díla jako teologické autobiografie, struktura a obsah díla. Ve třetí části pak bude zpracován koncept projevů milosti ve Vyznáních, na který bude navazovat nástin přínosu pro život křesťana v současnosti.
