| uk.abstract.cs | Předložená práce „Mandejci a jejich náboženství“ se zabývá dějinami nábožensko-etnické komunity mandejců, jejich náboženstvím a současností. Výklad se zaměřuje na otázku původu mandejství a na proměny mandejství ve 20. a 21. století, a to na rovině sociálně-politické a na rovině rituální praxe. Konkrétně to znamená, že práce hledá odpověď na následující otázky: 1) Zda je na základě pramenů, které jsou k dispozici, a) možné resp. nutné situovat počátky mandejství do prostředí Syropalestiny, b) nebo zda je legitimní spojovat počátky mandejství s Babylonií; 2) Jak se v průběhu 20. a 21. století v kontextu proměn
Blízkého východu měnila mandejská komunita, konkrétně s ohledem na vnitřní strukturu a ve vztahu navenek vůči státu a většinové společnosti a také v kontextu migrace. 3) Jaká je současná rituální praxe mandejců, jaké rituály provádějí, jak

| uk.abstract.en | The presented work The Mandaeans and their Religion is concerned with the history of the ethnoreligious community known as the Mandaeans and their current situation. The work focuses on the question of the origin of the Mandaeans and the transformation Mandaeism has undergone in the 20th and 21st centuries at the socio-political level and at the level of ritual practice. Specifically, the work seeks to answer the following questions: 1) Whether on the basis of the available sources (a) it is correct to link the beginnings of the Mandaeans with Syro-Palestine or (b) whether it is more appropriate to locate the
beginnings of the Mandaeans in Babylonia. 2) How has the Mandaean community changed within the context of 20th and 21st century developments in the Middle East and their own migration particularly, with regard to their internal structure, their relationship with the state and the majority society? 3) What is the current state of Mandaean ritual practice and how has this ritual practice changed within the context of their migration as well as within the context of changes in the majority of society? | cs_CZ |
