Sekularizace. Srovnání českého a francouzského případu

Abstract

Tato práce se zabývá fenoménem sekularizace v prostředí moderních evropských společností. Prostřednictvím představení přístupů různých sociologů náboženství seznamuje s historickými předpoklady sekularizace, vysvětluje sekularizační tezi a její platnost v dnešní době. Dále se zaměřuje na sekularizaci v České republice a ve Francii. V případě České republiky se ponejvíce věnuje specifickým stránkám české religiozity. Zkoumá její možné historické příčiny, prezentuje její aktuální projevy. Zdůrazňuje především nedůvěru české společnosti k institucionalizované religiozitě, popularitu alternativní religiozity, vysvětluje pojem "český ateismus" a ukazuje konkrétní charakteristické rysy náboženského chování Čechů. V případě Francie na základě složitého dějinného vývoje líčí cestu k unikátní podobě sekularity, která se ve francouzském prostředí vyvinula, tzv. laïcité. Popisuje její postupné prosazování, její aktuální podobu a konfrontaci se současným společenským vývojem. Dále se pokouší o srovnání zmíněných dvou případů, hledá jejich společné aspekty i prvky zcela ojedinělé, a to za účelem širšího vykreslení podob sekularizace v evropském prostoru.

This thesis Secularisation: Comparison of Czech and French Case deals with the phenomenon of secularisation in the area of modern European societies. Presenting approaches of different sociologists of religion it acquaints with historical conditions of secularisation, explains the secularisation thesis and its actual validity. Then it focuses on secularisation in the Czech Republic and in France. In the case of the Czech Republic it mostly deals with aspects of the Czech religiosity. It examines its probable historical causes and presents its actual manifestations. First of all it emphasizes the mistrust of the Czech society of the institutionalized religiosity, the popularity of the alternative religiosity, explains the concept of the "Czech atheism" and shows several particular characteristics of the religious behaviour of the Czech people. In the case of France it describes the way to the unique form of secularity born in the French milieu so called laïcité on the basis of a complicated historical process. It describes its gradual assertion, its actual form and its confrontation with the current development of the society.
