Učená společnost České republiky, o.s. a její předchůdci. Od Královské české společnosti nauk k Učené společnosti České republiky, o.s.

Abstract

Cílem předkládané práce Je postihnout geneZI, relativně krátkou historii a organIzacI Učené společnosti České republiky, o. s. Zpracování vzniku a vývoje významné ins ti tuce, spj a té s vědou a vzdělano stí, podílej ící se na životě současné společnosti včetně postižení jej ích historických kořenů, by mohlo přispět k celkovému pohledu na formování a peripetie vědeckého potenciálu a institucionální základy v českých zemích. Učená společnost České republiky, o. s., byla ustavena 10. května roku 1994 na slavnostním zasedání v pražském Karolinu podpisem "Deklarace Učené společnosti České republiky". Ve své práci j sem se nejprve zaměřila na nástin příčin, vedoucích k jej ímu vzniku. V "Deklaraci" se Společnost přihlásila k tradicím Královské české společnosti nauk, proto podávám základní informace o tomto předchůdci nově ustavené Učené společnosti České republiky, o. s., která vznikla už v druhé polovině 18. století. Poté se stručně věnuji další významné společnosti, České akademii věd a umění, která byla ustavena díky významné podpoře donátora Josefa Hlávky. Nelze přitom nezmínit Československou akademii věd, která byla zřízena v roce 1952. Zaměřila jsem se však zejména na genezi, tradici a modernitu Učené společnosti České republiky, o. s., od jejích počátků do konce roku 2006.

The goal of the work lS to present the founding, the relatively short history, and the organization of the Learned Society of the Czech Republic. Elaborating the creation and development of an important institution connected with science and scholarship, one that participates ln the life of contemporary society, including an understanding of this group' s historical roots, could contribute to the overall view of the formulation and the peripety of scientific potential and institutional fundamentals in the Czech Republic. The Learned Society of the Czech Republic was founded on 10 May 1994 at a ceremonial session in Prague' s Carolinum with the signing of the "Declaration of the Learned Society of the Czech Republic." The first part of my work focuses on the driving forces that led to the founding of the Society. In the "Declaration" the Society aligned itself with the traditions of the Royal Czech Society of the Sciences, and for this reason I present basic information regarding this predecessor to the newly founded Learned Society of the Czech Republic. The Royal Czech Society of the Sciences was founded in the second half of the 18th century.
