Abstract

1 Summary Aims: The aim of the theoretical part was to summarize information about the dental hygiene of the interdental space, characterize the anatomy, the morphology of the interdental space, and related physiological and pathological states. It was crucial to mention the utilities of professional and surgical care. The practical part was devoted to the problems of interdental toothbrushes. The aim was to engage in their correct calibration, resistance and recalibration. Methodology and set: The practical part was divided into two sections. The exploration part, focused on calibration and resistance of interdental toothbrushes according to norm ISO 16409:2016, was undertaken in the first section. A well-arranged passage hole diameter was constructed on this basis. The second section was devoted to a survey targeted on the use of interdental toothbrushes. Outcomes: It was proved in the first section, that a half of the interdental toothbrushes are correctly calibrated according to the ISO norm. In the second section it was established that a recalibration of interdental toothbrushes was done to a majority of respondents. Conclusion: Interdental toothbrushes are important interdental tools. 1 Souhrn Cíle: Cílem teoretické části bylo shrnout poznatky dentální hygieny interdentálního prostoru, charakterizovat anatomii, morfologii interdentálního prostoru a s ním související fyziologické a patologické stavy. Zásadní bylo zmínit pomůcky profesionální i ordinační interdentální péče. Praktická část byla věnována problematice mezizubních kartáčků. Cílem bylo zaměřit se na jejich správnou kalibraci, odolnost a rekalibraci. Metodika a soubor: Praktická část byla rozdělena na dvě sekce. V první sekci byla provedena výzkumná část zaměřená na kalibraci a odolnost mezizubních kartáčků dle normy ISO 16409:2016. Na jejím základě byl zhotoven přehledný průchodník. Druhá sekce byla věnována dotazníkovému šetření zaměřenému na používání mezizubních kartáčků. Výsledky: V první sekci bylo dokázáno, že polovina mezizubních kartáčků je dle ISO normy správně kalibrovaná. V druhé sekci bylo zjištěno, že u většiny respondentů byla provedena rekalibrace mezizubních kartáčků. Závěr: Mezizubní kartáčky jsou důležitou interdentální pomůckou. Při výběru je nutné stanovit průchodnost mezizubního prostoru a v návaznosti zvolit příslušnou velikost mezizubního kartáčku. Správná kalibrace musí být doprovázena i pravidelnou rekalibrací.
