Buquoyské sklárny

Abstract

Když se řekne novohradské sklářství popřípadě buquoyské sklárny snad každému se vybaví hyalit - černé sklo, na které není znám recept. 1 Bylo by velkou chybou, zúžit pohled jen na hyalit. Za poslední roky se mnohé informace o zdejších sklárnách zpřesnily, ale i přesto je třeba ještě mnoho věcí objasnit případně opravit nebo doplnit. V mnohém byla přínosnou i výstava pořádaná v letech 2001 - 2002 pražským Uměleckoprůmyslovým muzeem ve spolupráci s Jihočeským muzeem v Českých Budějovicích a Passauer Glassmuseum - "Buquoyské sklo v Čechách v letech 1620 - 1851". K této výstavě byl vydán reprezentativní katalog. 2 Samostatnou práci by si jistě zasloužil i rod Buquoy3, stojící ve stínu svých jihočeských předchůdců, Rožmberků a pánů z Hradce, trochu v pozadí zájmu. Snažila jsem se shromáždit dostupné informace a poté je ve své práci utřídit a podat stručný přehled o sklářství a jednotlivých sklárnách na Novohradsku. Práce je rozdělena do čtyř kapitol. První kapitola se věnuje stručnému přehledu vývoje sklářství v Čechách do konce 19. století. Druhá kapitola představuje rod Buquoy s ohledem na jeho představitele žijící na panství Nové Hrady, Rožmberk a Libějovice. Třetí kapitola stručně představuje vývoj sklářství na Novohradsku od středověku do vyhašení poslední buquoyské sklárny v Černém Údolí v roce 1910....

This work concems the history of glassworks and glashouses in the region of South Bohemia - Novohradské hory - on the border with Austria. Glassmakers worked here over 500 years, since Middle Age until the beginning of the 20th century. There were many generations of glassmasters, glassmakers, refiners ant others and others in the manufactures and later in the factories. The period before the half of the 18th century. It was the time of first Middle Age Glasshouses in the 14th and 15th century, the time ofthe renaissance glassworks and first baroque glassworks. There had been an excellent glassworks in Wilhelmberg, near Heilbronn, in the Gratzen domain, founded by the Rosenbergs about 1580s. At that time, glassmakers came to this region maybe from Italy and later sure from France. The most importent figure of The period since half of the 18th century, the period of founding of new glassworks in Novohradské hory. During 40 years 8 glassworks were founded. On the beginning, the most famous period of glassworks began here when the Count Georg Franz Buquoy found new glass material - black, later red, hyalite and took all glassworks in the region under his direkt ownership.
