Hněv Boží: rétorika a teologie jednoho starozákonního motivu

Abstract

Bakalářská práce se zabývá projevy, motivy a rétorikou Božího hněvu ve Starém zákoně. Vychází ze starozákonní rétoriky a konkrétních biblických pasáží, které popisují příčiny a následky Božího hněvu. Definuje jednotlivá slova označující Boží hněv z etymologického, ale především sémantického hlediska. Popisuje významové odlišnosti těchto slov v souvislosti s jejich užitím v konkrétním literárním žánru nebo biblické redakce. Poznatky získané lingvistickým rozborem zasazuje do dvou odlišných konceptů porozumění Božímu hněvu u Walthera Eichrodta a Waltera Brueggemanna. Představuje metodologický přístup těchto teologů s důrazem na Boží hněv. Práce se odvolává na výsledky odborného bádání převážně z posledních dvou století. Formuluje obraz hněvivého Boha, který odpovídá pohledu především západních badatelů za poslední dvě století. Z pohledu takto definovaného Božího hněvu znovu zkoumá některé atributy, které jsou s Bohem tradičně spojovány a zasazuje je do novějšího kontextu.

Bachelor's thesis deals with demonstration, motives and rhetoric of God's anger in the Old Testament. It originates from OT's rhetoric and specific passages of the Bible that describe cause and consequence of God's anger. It defines particular words indicating God's anger from an etymologic but mainly a semantic view. It describes meaning differencies of these words in connection with their usage in concrete literary forms or biblical redaction. It sets the acguired piece of knowledge from lingustic analysis into two different concepts of understanding God's anger by Walther Eichrodt and Walter Brueggemann. It presents their metodological approach with an emphasis of God's anger. This thesis reverts to results of scientific research executed mostly in within last two centuries. It defines the picture of the angry God that corresponds with scientific view of western scholars in the course of last two centuries. Given the defined view of God's anger it observes certain attributes that are typically being related to the God and sets them in a new context.
