Abstract

of thesis titled: Fichte's Transcendental Approach to Being 1801-02 submitted by Leonard Ip for the degree of Master of Arts in Philosophie in the programme Erasmus Mundus Master EuroPhilosophie, July 2021 This paper attempts to reconstruct the development of the problem of being within the framework of Fichte's Wissenschaftslehre after 1800 in its initial approach. Textually, it deals mainly with the Darstellung der Wissenschaftslehre from 1801/02. This text is considered the main document with which Fichte's so-called "late philosophy" begins after the first "Jena" period of his philosophising. The main result of the reconstruction presented is the demonstration of a "positive" concept of being, which goes beyond the concept of being explicitly determined as "negative" in Fichte's Jena Wissenschaftslehre and is defined in the Darstellung as "absolute being". In order to show that the positive concept of being is both demanded and legitimised on the basis of the Wissenschaftslehre as transcendental idealism, the reconstruction of this concept is carried out through an analysis of the first part of the Darstellung, i.e. the theory of absolute knowledge. der These: Fichtes transzendentale Annäherung zum Sein 1801-02 vorgelegt von Leonard Ip zur Erlangung des akademischen Grads eines Masters of Arts (M. A.) in Philosophie im Studiengang Erasmus Mundus Master EuroPhilosophie, Juli 2021 Diese Arbeit legt den Versuch vor, die Entwicklung der Seinsproblematik im Rahmen von Fichtes Wissenschaftslehre nach dem Jahr 1800 in ihrem anfänglichen Ansatz zu rekonstruieren. Textuell setzt sie sich hauptsächlich mit der Darstellung der Wissenschaftslehre aus den Jahren 1801/02 auseinander. Dieser Text gilt als das Hauptdokument, mit dem die sogenannte "Spätphilosophie" Fichtes nach der ersten "Jenaer" Periode seines Philosophierens einsetzt. Das Hauptergebnis der vorgelegten Rekonstruktion besteht in der Aufweisung eines "positiven" Seinsbegriffs, der über den ausdrücklich als "negativ" bestimmten Begriff des Seins in Fichtes Jenaer Wissenschaftslehre hinausgeht und in der Darstellung als "das absolute Sein" festgelegt wird. Um zu zeigen, dass der positive Seinsbegriff auf der Grundlage von der Wissenschaftslehre als transzendentalem Idealismus zugleich verlangt und legitimiert wird, wird die Rekonstruktion dieses Begriffs durch eine Analyse des ersten Teils, d. h. der Theorie des absoluten Wissens in der Darstellung vollzogen.
