Vlivy na incidenci rozštěpových vad obličeje v ČR

Abstract

Rozštěpy rtu a patra jsou jednou z nejčastějších vrozených vývojových vad. Morfologický charakter defektu má těžké negativní funkční důsledky na polykání, dýchání, kousání a tvorbu řeči. Esteticky se jedná o významné postižení faciálního trianglu, který nejvíce ovlivňuje celkový vzhled obličeje. Zhruba 15% dětí má defekt sdružený s dalším postižením, ale izolovaná vada není ani letální ani spojena s mentálním výpadkem. Je zřetelné, že vada představuje problém jak zdravotní, tak psychologický i socioekonomický. Proto je problematika léčby nemocných s rozštěpem považována celosvětově za tak důležitou, že v tomto ohledu funguje úzká mezinárodní spolupráce, do které je zařazena i Česká republika. Je nutno zdůraznit, že řešení otázky obličejových rozštěpů má v České republice mnohaletou tradici, jejíž začátky jsou spojeny se jménem akademika Františka Buriana a klinikou plastické chirurgie v Praze, kde je v současnosti Centrum pro rozštěpové vady. ČR má centra dvě, jedno již zmíněné v Praze a jedno v Brně.
