Jitka Sýkorová Title: The Use of Craft and Creative Arts in Occupational Therapy Abstract: The bachelor thesis addresses the topic of Arts and Crafts in occupational therapy. Arts and Craft are linked with the profession from its beginnings. Craft activities were one of the first meaningful occupations the occupational therapists ever used in their work. These activities were also the first occupations expertly analyzed by occupational therapists. As the society evolved, the role of arts and crafts in occupational therapy changed. Today, the use of Arts and Crafts in therapy is a controversial topic that divides occupational therapists. Some see Arts and Crafts only as a historical part of the profession, outdated and anachronistic, and refuse to use them in their work. Others feel their potential and try to find ways of purposefully including them in their patients' rehabilitation plans. The bachelor thesis presents a view of Arts and Crafts as a therapeutic tool. It charts the inclusion of these activities in the history of the profession and describes the current situation. Jitka Sýkorová Název bakalářské práce: Využití kreativních technik v ergoterapii Abstrakt bakalářské práce: Bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou užívání kreativních technik v ergoterapii. Kreativní techniky jsou s ergoterapií spojeny již od vzniku profese. Umělecké a řemeslné činnosti byly jedny z prvních smysluplných činností, které terapeuti ve své práci využívali. Jednalo se také o první aktivity, u kterých ergoterapeuti začali využívat odbornou analýzu činnosti. S vývojem profese a společnosti se však postavení kreativních technik v ergoterapii proměnilo. Dnes je zařazování tvořivých činností do terapie tématem, které ergoterapeuty rozděluje. Někteří vnímají kreativní techniky pouze jako historickou součást profese a jako zastaralé a přežité je ve své práci odmítají. Druzí v nich vidí potenciál a hledají způsoby, jak je smysluplně začlenit do rehabilitačního plánu svých pacientů. Bakalářská práce poskytuje pohled na kreativní techniky jako na terapeutický prostředek. Všímá si zapojení těchto činností v oboru v minulosti, snaží se popsat současnou situaci a pojmenovat problémy, které ergoterapeuti při zařazování těchto činností do terapie vnímají.
