Sociální služby klientům s mentálním postižením

Abstract

This thesis deals the importance of social services for people with mental disabilities. The aim was to introduce the wider public to social services and their necessity for people with mental disabilities. The research was based on interviews with five respondents, from which case studies were developed and the results show that social services are an important tool for people with mental disabilities and their parents or carers to integrate into mainstream society and thus be able to live a full life to the maximum extent possible given the degree of disability. It concludes with concrete examples of the use of social services to help and mitigate the effects of living with an mental disability.

Tato diplomová práce řeší význam sociálních služeb pro lidi s mentálním postižením. Cílem bylo přiblížit širší veřejnosti sociální služby a jejich potřebnost pro lidi s mentálním postižením. Zkoumání probíhalo na základě rozhovorů u pěti respondentů, ze kterých byly vypracovány kazuistiky a výsledky ukazují, že sociální služby jsou pro lidi s mentálním postižením a jejich rodiče nebo pečovatele důležitým nástrojem pro zařazení se do běžné společnosti a možnost tak žít v maximálně možné míře vzhledem ke stupni postižení plnohodnotný život. V závěru jsou formulovány konkrétní příklady využití sociálních služeb, které pomáhají a mírní důsledky života lidí s mentálním postižením.
