Vliv mezistranických sporů na podporu stran CDU a CSU v německé veřejnosti v 19. volebním období

Abstract

This thesis deals with the issue of inter-party conflicts between the Christian Democratic Union (CDU) and the Christian Social Union in Bavaria (CSU) and their perception in the German public. Both parties are conservative popular parties based on Christian values. Through the method of an interpretive case study, the thesis analyses the period in which conflicts between the parties peaked. It concerns Horst Seehofer's relationship with Angela Merkel and their opposing views on migration policy and the situation during the power struggle in the Union between Markus Söder and Armin Laschet. The timeframe of the thesis is the entire 19th parliamentary term, which lasted between 2017 and 2021. Using opinion polls and articles, or media accounts, the thesis analyses the rise or fall of public interest in these parties and the social discourse associated with these disputes.

Předložená práce se zabývá problematikou mezistranických konfliktů stran Křesťanskodemokratická unie (CDU) a Křesťanskosociální unie v Bavorsku (CSU) a jejich vnímání v německé veřejnosti. Obě tyto strany se řadí ke konzervativním lidovým stranám, postaveným na křesťanských hodnotách. Práce analyzuje skrze metodu interpretativní případové studie období, ve kterém mezi stranami vrcholily konflikty. Jedná se o vztah Horsta Seehofera s Angelou Merkelovou a jejich protichůdné názory na migrační politiku a situaci během boje o moc v Unii mezi Markusem Söderem a Arminem Laschetem. Časově je práce ohraničena po celé 19. volebním období, které trvalo mezi lety 2017-2021. Za pomocí průzkumů veřejného mínění a článků, popřípadě mediálních záznamů práce analyzuje nárůst či pokles zájmu veřejnosti o tyto strany a společenský diskurz spojený s těmito spory.
