Porovnání terénních služeb sociální a zdravotní péče o lidi s demencí v České republice a Nizozemí

Abstract

The master thesis deals with the quality of care provided to people with dementia and their informal carers. The aim is to compare health care and social services for this group of patients in two countries - the Czech Republic and the Netherlands. The first part defines the dementia syndrome, its diagnosis, symptoms, treatment and management of dementia. This is followed by the topic of palliative and hospice care and euthanasia The thesis also includes the concept of long-term care, which is purposely limited in this thesis to only that part which is provided either by a health service provider or by a social service in the patient's/service user's home environment. The next section refers to laws, regulations and policy documents that relate to the topic of care for people with dementia. The last part of the theoretical definition of this thesis describes the health and social service system in the Netherlands, including reference to strategic documents that shape the care of people with dementia and their informal carers. The empirical part includes the elaboration and analysis of qualitative research, which I conducted through interviews directly with informal carers.

Diplomová práce se zabývá kvalitou péče, která je poskytována lidem s demencí a jejich neformálním pečujícím. Cílem je porovnat pro tuto skupinu pacientů zdravotní péči a nabídku sociálních služeb ve dvou zemích - v České republice a v Nizozemí. V první části je definován syndrom demence, jeho diagnostika, příznaky, léčba a management demence. Navazuje téma paliativní, hospicové péče a eutanazie. Práce také pracuje s pojmem dlouhodobá péče, která je v této práci omezena pouze na terénní část, tedy tu, která je poskytována buďto poskytovatelem zdravotnických služeb anebo sociální službou v prostředí domova pacienta/uživatele služeb. Další část odkazuje na zákony, nařízení a strategické dokumenty, které se k tématu péče o lidi s demencí vztahují. Poslední část teoretického vymezení této diplomové práce popisuje systém zdravotnických a sociálních služeb v Nizozemí včetně odkazu na strategické dokumenty, které péči o lidi s demencí a jejich neformální pečující formují. Empirická část obsahuje zpracování a analýzu kvalitativního výzkumu, který jsem realizovala prostřednictvím rozhovorů přímo s neformálními pečujícími.
