Abstract

The diploma thesis Development of reading in students with intellectual disability is a special pedagogical topic that extends to all areas of the life of a person with an intellectual disability. The theoretical part offers an insight into the issue of reading and reading interests among students with intellectual disabilities, the area of reading and reading interests, pre-reading is brought up, teaching reading methods, supporting reading and reading interests, basic information about a person with moderate and severe intellectual disabilities and education of persons with intellectual disabilities. The research part is prepared on the basis of qualitative research. The main method of qualitative research was semi-structured interviews, supplemented by unstructured participant observation. The aim of the diploma thesis is to describe and evaluate the support of reading and the development of reading among students with moderate and severe intellectual disability at a particular special elementary school. In the research part, research questions, methodologies, research findings and a summary of the research are determined. Diplomová práce Rozvoj čtenářství u žáků s mentálním postižením je speciálněpedagogickým tématem s přesahem do všech oblastí života člověka s mentálním postižením. Teoretická část nabízí náhled na problematiku čtenářství a čtenářských zájmů u žáků s mentálním postižením, přiblížena je oblast předčtenářství, oblast čtenářství a čtenářských zájmů, jsou zde uvedeny metody výuky čtení, podpora čtenářství a čtenářských zájmů, základní informace o člověku se středně těžkým a těžkým mentálním postižením a vzdělávání osob s mentálním postižením. Výzkumná část je zpracována na základě kvalitativního výzkumu. Hlavní metodou kvalitativního výzkumu byly polostrukturované rozhovory, které doplnilo zúčastněné nestrukturované pozorování. Cílem diplomové práce je popsat a vyhodnotit podporu čtenářství a rozvoj čtenářství u žáků se středně těžkým a těžkým mentálním postižením na konkrétní základní škole speciální. Ve výzkumné části jsou stanoveny výzkumné otázky, metodologie, výzkumné poznatky a shrnutí výzkumu.
