Konference mezi Ronaldem Raeganem a Michailem Gorbačovem a jejich dopady

Abstract

My thesis will be dealing with the last yet very important chapter of the Cold war. In the theoretical part I will focus on importance of the summits. There are two major approaches concerning the summits, I will shortly describe each one of them. After that, I will shortly mention the political career of Ronald Reagan and Mikhail Gorbachev, their political views and goals respectively. After that I will shift my attention to the core of my thesis, therefore bilateral intermediate range ballistic missiles treaty and summits between two statesmen that took place in Geneva, Reykjavik, Moscow and Washington D.C. In the final part, there will be summary and my views on the given issue. At the very end, there will be sources and attachments.

Moje bakalářská práce bude pojednávat o závěrečné, přesto nesmírně důležité fázi studené války. V teoretické části se zaměřím na význam summitů jako takových. Existují dva přístupy k summitům a každý z nich krátce popíšu. Následně se stručně zmíním o obou státnících, jaký byl jejich počátek v politice a jaké měli cíle v zahraniční politice. Následně se přesunu k jádru mé práce, tedy bilaterální smlouvě o snížení počtu raket krátkého dostřelu ( INF- intermediate range nuclear forces treaty) a jednáních mezi oběma státníky na konferencích v Ženevě, Reykjavíku, Moskvě a Washingtonu D.C. V závěrečné fázi této práce bude následovat shrnutí textu a můj pohled na danou problematiku. Na samotném konci rovněž budou uvedeny zdroje a přílohy.
