Společenstvo krejčí v Praze: organizace krejčovských živnostenských podnikatelů v Praze od časů monarchie do konce první Československé republiky

Abstract

(in English): The subject of the thesis is the Tailors' Association in Prague, which was founded in 1911 by the merger of the three main Prague associations. The thesis analyses the organisational structure and activities of the trade association from its foundation to the end of the First Czechoslovak Republic. It focuses on its economic, status, social and cultural functions (educational and enlightenment activities). The thesis examines how the association did or did not fulfil the roles given by the legal framework, how it influenced the business environment of Prague and whether its influence extended to other regions, what role it played for its members and how this changed over time. The basis of the thesis is the elaboration of the surviving archival material using professional periodicals. The thesis thus contributes both to the knowledge of trade associations as a specific type of organisation of trade entrepreneurs in the first half of the 20th century and to the development of the tailoring craft in the Czech lands.

(česky) Předmětem zkoumání diplomové práce je Společenstvo krejčí v Praze, které vzniklo v roce 1911 sloučením tří hlavních pražských společenstev. Práce analyzuje organizační strukturu a činnost živnostenského společenstva od jeho vzniku do konce první Československé republiky. Soustředí se na jeho ekonomické, stavovské, sociální a kulturní funkce (osvětová a vzdělávací činnost). Práce zkoumá, jak společenstvo plnilo nebo naopak neplnilo role dané právním rámcem, jak ovlivňovalo podnikatelské prostředí Prahy a zda jeho vliv sahal i do jiných regionů, jakou roli hrálo pro své členy a jak se toto proměňovalo v čase. Základem diplomové práce je zpracování dochovaného archivního materiálu s využitím odborného periodického tisku. Práce je tak jednak příspěvkem k poznání živnostenských společenstev jako specifického typu organizace živnostenských podnikatelů v první polovině 20. století, jednak k vývoji krejčovského řemesla v českých zemích.
