Deníky z terezínského, varšavského a lodžského ghetta

Abstract

The Aim of this diploma thesis is to analyse three diaries written by people who were imprisoned during the Second World War in ghettos on the territory of the Czech Republic and Poland. This is Eva Roubíčková and her diary We're Alive, and Life Goes On. A Theresienstadt Diary (New York, 1998), Egon Redlich and his diary named The Terezin Diary of Gonda Redlich (2015) and Adam Czerniaków and his testimony The Warszaw Diary of Adam Czerniakow: Prelude to Doom (1978). This diploma theses will focus on comparing the journals in terms of the openness of the information provided by the journals and the position of the writer in the ghetto. At first the work outlines the theoretical delineation of the Terezin and Warsaw ghettos and diaries. The main part is the interpretation of the three aforementioned texts with an emphasis on motifs that permeate the various works. Předmětem této práce je analýza třech deníků, jejichž pisatelé byli vězněni během druhé světové války v ghettech na území dnešních států Česka a Polska. Jedná se o Evu Roubíčkovou a její Terezínský deník (nejprve v anglickém překladu 1998, německy 2007, česky 2009 a 2017), Egona Redlicha a jeho deník s názvem Zítra jedeme, synu, pojedeme transportem (česky 1995) a Adama Czerniakowova a jeho svědectví s názvem Deník varšavského ghetta (česky 2018). Práce se zaměřuje na porovnání deníků z hlediska otevřenosti informací, které poskytují, a postavení pisatele/pisatelky v ghettu. V úvodu nastiňuje historické pozadí terezínského a varšavského ghetta a deníků, v hlavní částí se pak práce zaměřuje na interpretaci výše zmíněných textů, přičemž klade důraz na motivy, které jednotlivá díla prostupují.
