Symbolika jazyka v povídkách Subcomandanta Marcose Vyprávění Starého Antonia a její význam při komunikaci Zapatistů se světem

Abstract

(anglicky) Communication between two cultures must include not only knowledge of the language, but also an effort to understand the thinking, perception and understanding of the world of "the other". In the case of the Zapatista movement, it is Subcomandante Marcos who plays the role of interpreter of words, ideas, ideology and worldview between the world of the Mayan rebels and the world of Western civilization. The aim of this thesis is to look at Marcos's short stories Relatos de El Viejo Antonio as a tool of communication between these two worlds, and then specifically to analyze the symbolism of language and its various forms and symbolic functions in different contexts.

(česky) Součástí komunikace mezi dvěma kulturami musí být kromě znalosti jazyka také snaha porozumět myšlení, vnímání a chápání světa "toho druhého". V případě Zapatistického hnutí je to Subcomandante Marcos, kdo zastává roli tlumočníka slov, myšlenek, ideologie a světonázoru mezi světem mayských povstalců a světem západní civilizace. Cílem této práce je nahlédnout na Marcosovy povídky Příběhy Starého Antonia jako na nástroj komunikace mezi těmito dvěma světy, konkrétně potom analyzovat symboliku jazyka a jeho různé podoby a symbolické funkce v různých kontextech.
