Abstract

The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to translate a selected part of the third chapter of the vegetarian's handbook Viens manger ! Le végétarisme en toute simplicité from French to Czech. This publication was written in 2019 by Marie Marquis et al. at the University of Montreal. The thesis also includes a commentary on the overall translation process and everything that a translator must pay attention to during their work. Therefore, in addition to the translation itself, the thesis also includes the analysis of the source text, the translation method and fictional assignment, selected translation problems and their solution through translation techniques and shifts.

Cílem této bakalářské práce je přeložit vybranou část třetí kapitoly příručky pro vegetariány Viens manger! Le végétarisme en toute simplicité z francouzštiny do češtiny. Publikaci napsala Marie Marquis a kolektiv z Univerzity v Montrealu v roce 2019. Součástí práce je také komentář věnující se celkovému procesu překladu a všemu, čemu musí překladatel při své práci věnovat pozornost. Práce tedy kromě samotného překladu obsahuje také analýzu výchozího textu, metodu překladu a fiktivní zadání, vybrané překladatelské problémy, jejich řešení pomocí překladatelských postupů a posunů.
