Specifika integrace a edukace cizinců studujících na vysokých školách v České republice

Abstract

The thesis deals with the specifics of integration and education of foreigners studying at universities in the Czech Republic. Nowadays, studying abroad is very affordable and therefore many students go to different countries and a significant percentage of them go to the Czech Republic. It is therefore essential that they feel comfortable here and that their studies have as few obstacles as possible. Therefore, the aim of this paper is to describe the access of foreigners to education in the Czech Republic, to find out how the adaptation process of foreigners to a new environment can be influenced, and to describe the integration and educational barriers of foreigners actively studying at universities in the Czech Republic. In the theoretical part of the thesis a description of the integration process, the legal framework for higher education in the Czech Republic, intercultural differences in education is realized. Furthermore, attention is paid to the integration policy and educational services provided in the Czech Republic. The empirical part of the thesis is carried out through semi-structured interviews with foreigners who are actively studying at Czech universities. Diplomová práce se zabývá specifiky integrace a edukace cizinců studujících na vysokých školách v České republice. V současné době je studium v zahraničí velmi dostupné, a proto mnoho studentů vyjíždí do různých zemí a nezanedbatelné procento z nich právě do České republiky. Je tedy nutné, aby se zde cítili dobře a jejich studium mělo co nejméně překážek. Cílem této práce je tedy popsat přístup cizinců ke vzdělání v České republice, zjistit, jak je možné ovlivnit adaptační proces cizinců do nového prostředí, a popsat integrační a edukační bariéry aktivně studujících cizinců na vysokých školách v České republice. V teoretické části práce je realizována deskripce problematiky integračního procesu, právního rámce pro vysokoškolské vzdělávání v České republice, interkulturními rozdíly ve vzdělávání. Dále je věnována pozornost integrační politice a vzdělávacím službám, které jsou poskytovány na našem území. Empirická část práce je realizována polostrukturovanými rozhovory s cizinci, kteří aktivně studují na českých vysokých školách. Jejich cílem bylo najít bariéry, které studentům stěžují studijní i běžný život. Mezi integračními bariérami se objevoval jazyk, dále vnitřní pocity a stesk po domově nebo diskriminační procesy.
