Coolness a subkulturní kapitál v současné alternativní pražské techno scéně

Abstract

The subject of this thesis is a qualitative sociological study that examines the contemporary Prague alternative club and rave scene as a subculture. The aim of the study is to find out how members of the subculture perceive and reflect on their subcultural identity. The theoretical part discusses several theoretical concepts related to this topic. The process by which nine informants were recruited and their interviews used as the primary source of data is described in the methodology chapter. Data for the research was collected using qualitative methods, i.e. semi-structured interviews, which were then analysed using open coding. The results suggest that several aspects influence the subcultural identity of techies - engagement in the scene and sharing of ideology are the main ones. The study could contribute to a deeper understanding of the contemporary Prague alternative techno scene and how its members shape their subcultural identity.

Předmětem této práce je kvalitativní sociologická studie, která se zabývá současnou pražskou alternativní klubovou a rave scénu jako subkulturou. Cílem studie je zjistit, jak členové subkultury vnímají a reflektují svou subkulturní identitu. Teoretická část se věnuje několik teoretických konceptům, které se s tímto tématem pojí. Proces, kterým bylo získáváno devět informátorů a z jejich rozhovorů, které sloužily jako primární zdroj dat, je popsán v kapitole o metodologii. Data k výzkumu byla sbírána kvalitativními metodami, tedy pomocí polostrukturovaných rozhovorů, které byly následně analyzovány pomocí otevřeného kódování. Výsledky naznačují, že subkulturní identitu technařů ovlivňuje několik aspektů - angažmá na scéně a sdílení ideologie jdou těmi hlavními. Studie by mohla přispět k hlubšímu porozumění současné pražské alternativní techno scéně a jakým způsobem její členové formují svou subkulturní identitu.
