Motivace migrace mladých dospělých z Moravskoslezského kraje do Hlavního města Prahy

Abstract

The topic of this thesis is the motivation of migration of young adults from the Moravian- Silesian region to the capital city of Prague. With the help of qualitative research, the thesis tries to present the motivation to migrate as an outcome of the current situation in the Moravian- Silesian Region. It is primarily a statement not only about individual decisions, but also about the impact of structural problems, inequalities, and socio-economic differences in Czech society on mobility and on the dynamics of demographic development. Using the examples of individual respondents, the thesis shows a certain specific life path typical for the children of the so-called "Husák children" generation from the Moravian-Silesian region. These life trajectories of the selected individuals are strongly connected with the idea of social success and the culture of migration that individuals adopt from their environment. Motivation to migrate is framed in the paper primarily using push and pull factors. The research is based on a series of in-depth episodic interviews with students and graduates of Prague universities. Tématem této diplomové práce je motivace mladých dospělých k migraci z Moravskoslezského kraje do Hlavního města Prahy. Práce se za pomoci kvalitativního výzkumu snaží představit motivaci migrovat jako vyústění stávající situace v Moravskoslezském kraji. Jedná se především o výpověď nejen o individuálních rozhodnutích jednotlivců, ale také o dopadu strukturálních problémů, nerovností a socioekonomických rozdílů české společnosti na mobilitu a taktéž na dynamiku demografického vývoje. Na příkladech jednotlivých respondentů, práce ukazuje určitou specifickou životní dráhu typickou pro děti generace Husákových dětí z Moravskoslezského kraje. Tyto životní dráhy vybraných jedinců jsou silně spojeny s představou sociálního úspěchu a kulturou migrace, kterou jedinci přejímají od svého okolí. Motivace k migraci je v práci rámovaná především za pomocí tzv. push- a pull- faktorů. Výzkum je založen na sérii hloubkových epizodických rozhovorů se studenty a absolventy pražských vysokých škol. Hlavním zjištěním práce je zásadní role příležitostí, v oblastech vzdělání, zaměstnání a získání sociálního kapitálu ve formě kontaktů, které fungovaly jako hlavní pull faktor a taktéž nižší kvality života v oblasti push faktorů.
