Historie kaplanství v ČR a profesní postavení nemocničního kaplana dnes

Abstract

This diploma thesis attempts to provide an insight into the ministry of the hospital chaplain in the Czech Republic. It introduces us to the origins of its source in the Bible and its history in Europe when the care of the sick was the responsibility of the church until it became a duty of the state as well. Due to the emergence of the welfare system, it was necessary to establish functional laws and government regulations, which I try to briefly describe in the context of the operation of the church and the state. By being written at the Hussite Faculty of Theology, this thesis is supplemented by a history of social and charitable work within the Czechoslovak Hussite Church. The entire thesis is complemented in its second part by qualitative research focusing on the barriers and the perspectives of hospital chaplains and CCS(H) ministers working in the hospital environment.

Tato diplomová práce se pokouší o vhled do služby nemocničního kaplana v České republice. Seznamuje nás s počátky svého pramene v Bibli a historii v Evropě, kdy péče o nemocné byla v kompetenci církve do doby, kdy se stávala povinností i státní. Vzhledem ke vzniku sociálního systému bylo nutné vytvořit funkční zákony a vládní nařízení, které se ve stručnosti snažím vypsat v rámci působení církve a státu. Tím, že je tato práce psaná na Husitské teologické fakultě, je doplněna historií sociální a charitativní péčí v rámci Církve československé husitské. Celá práce je ve své druhé části doplněna kvalitativním výzkumem soustředícím se na překážky a pohled nemocničních kaplanek a farářů CČSH působících v nemocničním prostředí.
