Analýza běloruské revoluce: příčiny, výsledky a důvody neúspěchu

Abstract

This thesis focuses on the recent protests in Belarus in 2020. After the events of the election, people started to protest against the illegitimate results. The study was conducted to understand the long-term causes and reasons for failure. For analysis, studies will be used on nonviolent protests and the role of emotion in the protest movement. Long-term causes and short-term triggers of protests, course of protests, actors and their tactics will be followed in individual chapters. The author starts from analysis of the long- term causes of the protest in Belarus, and then moves on to a detailed analysis based on primary sources as well as specialist literature. The government's response to these protests is examined, with the help of the literature on the subject, the correlation between the intensity of these repressions and the outcome of the protests is discussed. The main question of the paper will be the reasons for the failure of the Belarusian protests. Keywords: non-violent protest, revolution, Belarus, elections

Tato práce se zaměřuje na nedávné protesty v Bělorusku v roce 2020. Po událostech voleb lidé začali protestovat proti nelegitimním výsledkům. Studium byl proveden s cílem pochopit dlouhodobé příčiny a důvody neuspechu. K analýze využije studia o nenásilných protestech a roli emoci v protestním hnuti. Jednotlivé kapitoly budou sledovány dlouhodobé příčiny i krátkodobé spouštěče protestů, průběh protestů, aktéři a jejich taktiky. Autorka vyjde z analýzy dlouhodobých příčin protestu v Bělorusku, aby pak přešla k detailní analýze, založené vedle odborné literatury i na primárních zdrojích. Je zkoumána reakce vlády na tyto protesty, s pomocí literatury na toto téma je diskutována korelace mezi intenzitou těchto represí a výsledkem protestů.
