Vliv pohlaví na sexuální vztahy pacientů se schizofrenií

Abstract

This bachelor's thesis deals with the theme of the sexuality of people with schizophrenia, and how it is moderated by their biological sex. It shortly defines schizophrenia and describes its symptoms, including the differentiation between positive and negative ones. It depicts the specifics of sexual functioning with schizophrenia, addresses sexual dysfunctions and the different ways in which they can be related to the illness. It also focuses on the sexual needs of people with schizophrenia, their relationships and various areas in which schizophrenia and sexuality intersect, like sexual abuse and sexual risk behaviour. The thesis also depicts sex differences in how the illness manifests and how one's sex affects their sexual functioning, which is followed up by a description of the estrogen hypothesis. That is the central point of the research proposal found in the empiric part of the thesis, which focuses on the relationship between one's estrogen levels and the extent of their sexual dysfunction. Bakalářská práce se věnuje tématu sexuality jedinců se schizofrenií a toho, jak je moderována pohlavím. Krátce definuje schizofrenii a popisuje její příznaky včetně vymezení jejich rozdělení na pozitivní a negativní. Vykresluje specifika sexuálního fungování u schizofrenie, zabývá se sexuálními dysfunkcemi a tím, jakými způsoby mohou s onemocněním souviset. Je zde rovněž věnována pozornost sexuálním potřebám lidí se schizofrenií, jejich vztahům a jiným oblastem, ve kterých se schizofrenie a sexualita protínají, jako je sexuální zneužití a rizikové sexuální chování. Dále práce probírá pohlavní rozdíly v prezentaci onemocnění a to, jakým způsobem pohlaví ovlivňuje sexuální fungování, na což navazuje popisem estrogenové hypotézy. Z ní vychází návrh výzkumu, popsaný v empirické části práce, který se zabývá vztahem hladiny estrogenů v těle a míry sexuální dysfunkce.
