Abstract

The Eschatological Meaning of Jesus' Resurrection (PhD dissertation) Jiří Dosoudil Abstract: The dissertation examines the biblical concept of the resurrection of Jesus. In particular biblical texts, it examines its meaning and how it relates to the last things of man, the world and its history. It traces where the resurrection of Jesus is mentioned in the New Testament and subjects the prominent passages to detailed exegetical analysis. To be able to read the biblical discourse on the resurrection in the appropriate cultural-religious context, it also provides an overview beforehand of how it is anchored in Old Testament ideas about human post-mortem existence and the life-giving power of God. Related but distinct ideas of contemporary paganism are also explored. The work points out significant or recurring moments in the texts it interprets. In a final reflection, it assesses their significance, puts them in context, and shows that the concepts of the resurrection of Jesus and the resurrection of all believers are related to the Old Testament hope of redeeming God, working on behalf of man in all circumstances. Eschatologický význam Ježíšova zmrtvýchvstání (disertační práce) Jiří Dosoudil Abstrakt: Disertační práce se zabývá biblickou koncepcí Ježíšova vzkříšení. Ve výchozích textech zkoumá její význam a to, jak se zde vztahuje k oblasti posledních věcí člověka, světa a jeho dějin. Mapuje, kde se v Novém zákoně hovoří o Ježíšově zmrtvýchvstání a význačná místa podrobuje detailní exegetické analýze. Aby bylo možné číst jednotlivé výpovědi o vzkříšení v odpovídajícím kulturně-náboženském kontextu, představuje předtím také přehledovým způsobem, jak jsou ukotveny ve starozákonních představách o posmrtné existenci člověka a životodárné Boží moci. Zkoumány jsou i související, ale odlišné představy dobového pohanství. Při výkladu biblických textů práce průběžně poukazuje na jejich význačné či opakující se momenty. V závěrečné reflexi hodnotí jejich význam, dává je do souvislosti a ukazuje, že koncepce Ježíšova vzkříšení, ale i vzkříšení všech věřících navazuje na starozákonní naději v Boha-spasitele jednajícím ve všech podmínkách ve prospěch člověka. Zvláště poukazuje na motiv působení jeho moci, v němž studie nachází základ pro eschatologii Ježíšova vzkříšení. Kriticky dokládá, že v eschatologických důsledcích Ježíšova zmrtvýchvstání se plně rozvíjí to, k čemu působení spásné a stvořitelské moci ve Starém zákoně teprve...
