Měření pečovatelské zátěže pečujících o seniory

Abstract

This thesis focuses on informal care and the burden of informal care. The aim is to explore the current form of informal care and to reflect on it with existing knowledge. In its first part, the thesis focuses on a description of the demographic development of the seniors, a description of informal care and the problems associated with it, solidarity, caregiving burden, and the possibilities of assistance and support for informal caregivers. Furthermore, the thesis sets out to describe what assistive technologies are, how informal carers use them and how they relieve them of the caring burden. Peripherally, the thesis also touches on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the caregiving burden. Through quantitative measurement using my own modification of the ZBI-4 questionnaire, I describe caregiving burden, taking into account basic sociodemographic data. The results show no statistically significant differences either across genders or across generations, apart from a significantly lower perceived caregiving burden for Generation X. I follow the quantitative part of the research with the qualitative part, based on semi-structured interviews. Práce se věnuje neformální péči a zátěži, která při ní vzniká. Cílem je prozkoumat současnou podobu neformální péče a reflektovat ji s dosavadním poznáním. Ve své první části je práce zaměřena na popis demografického vývoje seniorů, popis neformální péče a problémy s ní spojené, solidaritu, pečovatelskou zátěž, a možnosti pomoci a podpory pro neformální pečující. Dále si práce vytyčuje za cíl popsat, co jsou asistivní technologie, jak je neformální pečující využívají a jak jim ulehčují od pečovatelské zátěže. Okrajově se práce dotýká i vlivu pandemie COVID-19 na pečovatelskou zátěž. Prostřednictvím kvantitativního měření za pomoci vlastní modifikace dotazníku ZBI-4 popisuji pečovatelskou zátěž s přihlédnutím k základním sociodemografickým údajům. Výsledky neukazují na žádné statisticky významné rozdíly ani napříč pohlavími, ani napříč generacemi, mimo signifikantně nižší vnímanou pečovatelskou zátěž u generace X. Na kvantitativní část výzkumu navazuji kvalitativní částí, provedenou na základě polostrukturovaných rozhovorů. V kvalitativní části popisuji důvody pro rozhodnutí pro neformální péči, její podobu a důsledky, potenciální generační rozdíly, jaké jsou hlavní zdroje informací neformálních pečujících, asistivní technologie, jejich vliv a používání a specifikace neformální péče v době pandemie...
