Dopisy Julia Mařáka Albertu Kuhovi z let 1886-1899

Abstract

This thesis entitled Letters of Julius Mařák to Albert Kuha from 1886-1899 presents a processed set of correspondence by the painter Julius Mařák to his friend Albert Kuha in the form of an edition. In the first chapter, the sources and literature used are assessed and analysed. The edition itself is based on a set of letters stored in the Archive of the National Gallery in Prague in the personal fund of Julius Mařák. The time scale of the documents is defined by 1886-1899. The second chapter presents the painter's biography, which is accompanied by new knowledge resulting from studied correspondence. The third chapter, an editorial note, describes the researcher's procedures and methods of publishing disclosure. The aim of the work is to bring up the important personality of Julius Mařák in terms of professional and social (artist, university teacher) and private (husband, father, friend).

Tato diplomová práce s názvem Dopisy Julia Mařáka Albertu Kuhovi z let 1886-1899 představuje zpracovaný soubor korespondence malíře Julia Mařáka jeho příteli Albertu Kuhovi formou edice. V první kapitole jsou zhodnoceny a analyzovány použité prameny a literatura. Samotná edice vychází ze souboru dopisů uložených v Archivu Národní galerie v Praze v osobním fondu Julia Mařáka. Časový rozsah dokumentů je vymezen lety 1886-1899. Druhá kapitola prezentuje malířův životopis, který je doplněn novými poznatky vyplývajícími ze studované korespondence. Třetí kapitola, ediční poznámka, vysvětluje postupy badatelské práce a metody edičního zpřístupnění. Čtvrtou kapitolu je tvořena samotná edice korespondence 120 a jednoho dopisu Mařáka zaslaných Kuhovi. Cílem práce je přiblížit osobnost Julia Mařáka v rovině profesní (umělec, vysokoškolský učitel) a soukromé (manžel, otec, přítel).
