Spor o Těšínsko v pojetí českého a polského regionálního tisku od října 1918 do ledna 1919

Abstract

Bakalářská práce pojednává o pojetí sporu o Těšínsko v českých a polských regionálních periodicích: Obrana Slezska, Ostravský kraj, Gwiazdka Cieszyńska a Głos Ludu Śląskiego. Popisuje referování v jednotlivých listech a shrnuje rozdíly v přístupu, využívaných argumentech i vykreslování protistrany sporu. Teoretická část práce nastiňuje historický kontext a komplikovanou situaci v regionu po první světové válce, rozpadu Rakouska-Uherska a vzniku samostatných států - Československa a Polska. Popis dějinných událostí slouží jako východisko k pochopení složitosti rozhodování o příslušnosti regionu i pocitům české a polské strany, které se promítají v novinových textech. Cílem práce je skrze kvalitativní narativní analýzu představit, jaké informace se dostávaly k českému a polskému obyvatelstvu v regionu. Záměr práce vychází z hypotézy, že se v průběhu sledovaného období argumentace obou zúčastněných stran výrazně rozchází, což odráží vyostřování vztahů mezi národnostními skupinami. A takový předpoklad práce potvrzuje.

The bachelor thesis deals with the approach to the dispute over Cieszyn Silesia in Czech and Polish regional periodical press: Obrana Slezska, Ostravský kraj, Gwiazdka Cieszyńska and Głos Ludu Śląskiego. It describes reporting in the mentioned newspapers, summarizes the differences in approach to the dispute, used argumentation and description of opposing side of the dispute. The theoretical part of the thesis outlines the historical context and the complicated situation in the region after the First World War, the collapse of the Austrian-Hungarian empire and the establishment of independent states - Czechoslovakia and Poland. The description of historical events serves as a foundation for understanding the complexity of the issue as well as the feelings of both - Czech and Polish sides, which are reflected in newspapers texts. The aim of the thesis is to present through a qualitative narrative analysis, what kind of information reached the Czech and Polish population in the region. The purpose of the thesis is based on the hypothesis that during the observed period the arguments of the two sides of the dispute diverged significantly, which reflects the sharpening of the relations between the population. And that is going to be confirmed.
