The thesis consists of theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part deals with nutrition, nutritional supplements, eating disorders in old age and the assessment of nutritional status by the attending medical staff. In the practical part, the responses of the interviewees are recorded, where patients were interviewed and answered about their personal experiences and feelings with specific nutritional supplements. Along with the patients' responses, we also collected the answers from the questionnaire survey for the nursing staff, which covered the specific amount and objective manifestations of the patients during the research. Práce je složená z teoretické a praktické části. Teoretická část se zabývá výživou, výživovými doplňky, poruchami příjmu potravy ve stáří a hodnocením nutričního stavu ošetřujícím zdravotnickým personálem. V praktické části jsou zaznamenány odpovědi dotazovaných respondentů, kde byli dotazováni pacienti, kteří zodpovídali své osobní zkušenosti a pocity s konkrétními výživovými doplňky. Spolu odpověďmi pacientů jsme shromáždily i odpovědi z dotazníkového šetření pro ošetřující personál, který se týkal konkrétního množství a objektivních projevů pacientů během výzkumu. Praktická část byla realizována pomocí tří druhů anonymních dotazníkových šetření, kdy dvě obdržel pacient, jeden na konci každého zkoumaného týdne a jeden závěrečný dotazník na konci celého pětitýdenního výzkumu.
