Vnímání světa skrze cosplay: český pohled

Abstract

The aim of my bachelor thesis is to determine what impact Czech cosplayers' activities have in relation to their efforts to blend in as closely as possible with a character from popular culture. To find out whether this cultural sub-genre is only an opportunity to dress up in the costume of one's chosen character and show it to someone else at one of the common meetings of other fans of these activities, which are regularly organized in the Czech Republic and around the world, or whether this phenomenon has a deeper and even spiritual meaning for its followers. The thesis focuses primarily on the analysis of the subjective experiences of some of the fans of this subculture, as well as the overlap of these activities in their personal lives. The bachelor thesis is mainly based on my observations of the so-called cosplayers during their activities. In the form of semi-structured interviews with respondents of different ages and levels of experience, it attempts to capture their inner experiences as faithfully as possible using the methodology of an ethnographic-anthropological approach.

Cílem mé bakalářské práce je zjistit, jaký dosah mají aktivity českých cosplayerů v souvislosti s jejich snahou, co nejvěrněji splynout s postavou z populární kultury. Zjistit, zda se v rámci tohoto kulturního sub-žánru jedná pouze o příležitost převléknout se do kostýmu své vybrané postavy a ukázat se v něm i někomu dalšímu na některém ze společných setkání dalších fanoušků těchto aktivit, která se pravidelně pořádají u nás i ve světě, nebo zda tento fenomén má pro své vyznavače hlubší až spirituální význam. Práce se zaměřuje zejména na analýzu subjektivních prožitků části příznivců této subkultury a také na přesah těchto aktivit do jejich osobního života. Bakalářská práce vychází hlavně z mých pozorování tzv. cosplayerů během jejich aktivit. Formou polostrukturovaných rozhovorů s respondenty různého věku a úrovně zkušeností se snaží o co nejvěrnější zachycení jejich vnitřních prožitků za pomoci metodologie etnograficko-antropologického přístupu.
