Kongres v Krakově roku 1364 a česko-polské vztahy za vlády Karla IV.

Abstract

Bakalářská práce se zabývá analýzou průběhu a možnými důvody svolání krakovského kongresu v roce 1364, na kterém se sešli polský král Kazimír III., římský císař a český král Karel IV., uherský král Ludvík I. a kyperský král Petr I. z Lusignanu. Vzhledem k tomu, že se česká historiografie dosud událostí podrobněji nezabývala, je cílem práce vyplnit tuto mezeru a poskytnout nejen informace ke kongresu, ale i ucelenější pohled na význam a váhu panovnických setkání ve 14. století obecně. Práce se proto nejprve věnuje tomu, jakou roli měly osobní schůzky panovníků v pozdním středověku a jak zpravidla probíhaly. Dále sleduje česko-polské vztahy a jejich dynamiku. Zároveň se pokouší vymezit základní témata, která určovala vývoj těchto kontaktů v letech 1320-1370. Stěžejní část práce pak tvoří komplexní rozbor samotného kongresu v Krakově. Vychází z popisu mezinárodní politické situace před jednáním, dále je sestaven seznam pravděpodobných účastníků, jsou vysloveny možné důvody svolání a analyzován průběh a důsledky setkání nejen pro česko-polské vztahy. V závěru pak autor bilancuje kongres z hlediska jeho úspěšnosti, nahlíží na něj jako na politicko-společenskou událost a porovnává ho s vybranými summity doby Karla IV. The bachelor's thesis analyzes the course and possible reasons for convening the Congress of Kraków in 1364, which was attended by the Polish King Casimir III, the Holy Roman Emperor and King of Bohemia Charles IV, the King of Hungary Louis I, and the King of Cyprus Peter I of Lusignan. Given that Czech historiography has not yet dealt with the event in detail, the aim of the thesis is to fill this gap and provide not only information about the congress, but also a more comprehensive view of the significance and importance of royal meetings in the 14th century in general. The thesis first addresses the role that personal meetings of rulers played in the late Middle Ages and how they typically proceeded. It then focuses on Czech-Polish relations and their dynamics, attempting to identify the main topics that determined their development between 1320 and 1370. The core of the thesis is a comprehensive analysis of the Congress of Kraków itself. It describes the international political situation prior to the meeting, compiles a list of likely participants, explores possible reasons for convening the congress, and analyzes the course and consequences of the meeting not only for Czech-Polish relations.
