Statky Jana Pálffyho v Čechách a jejich proměny v letech 1918-1945

Abstract

The bachelor thesis deals with the Count Jan Pálffy of Erdöd and his estates in Bohemia between 1918 and 1945. It mainly focuses on the influences and effects of the First Land Reform, and the changes in the size and function of the Pálffy estates. The thesis maps the situation of Pálffy estates at the beginning of the studied period and the transformation of the large estates of Březnice and Merklín. It traces the negotiations between the State Land Office and Jan Pálffy on the scope of the reform, the approach of each stakeholder to this issue and the development and changes in this approach during this time. The work also outlines in general terms the negotiations, legal anchoring and form of the First Land Reform as well as the historical development of the aforementioned estates and their owners while also focusing on several specific aspects of the reform, such as the issue of tenancy or residual estates and their form on the Pálffy estates. The research of the thesis is mainly based on unpublished archival sources, both official and personal, and relevant scientific literature. Bakalářská práce se zabývá osobou hraběte Jana Pálffyho z Erdödu a jeho statky v Čechách v letech 1918 až 1945. Zaměřuje se především na vlivy a dopady I. pozemkové reformy, změny rozlohy a fungování pálffyovských statků. Mapuje jejich podobu na počátku sledovaného období a proměnu velkostatků Březnice a Merklín v jeho průběhu. Sleduje jednání mezi Státním pozemkovým úřadem a Janem Pálffym o rozsahu reformy, přístup jednotlivých aktérů k této problematice a vývoj a změny tohoto přístupu během dané etapy. Zároveň obecně nastiňuje jednání, právní zakotvení a podobu I. pozemkové reformy stejně jako historický vývoj zmiňovaných velkostatků a jejich majitelů. Zaměřuje se také na některé konkrétní aspekty reformy jako problematiku pachtu či zbytkových statků a jejich podobu na pálffyovských velkostatcích. Výzkum práce spočívá především na nevydaných archivních pramenech, a to jak úřední, tak osobní povahy a příslušné odborné literatuře. Při zpracování dochází k porovnávání pramenů zainteresovaných státních institucí a pramenů velkostatků Jana Pálffyho, na jehož základě je pak skládána podoba průběhu I. pozemkové reformy na pálffyovských velkostatcích i jejich další proměn.
