Spolky Pohodlí a KHM a výtvarná tvorba jejich členů

Abstract

Diplomová práce má za cíl představit nepříliš známé spolky Pohodlí a Karla Hynka Máchy. Uskupení vznikla v šedesátých letech dvacátého století jako reakce na stav společnosti, tvrdě ovládané komunistickým režimem, jak v oblasti společensko-politické, tak kulturní. Takovýchto skupin v oblasti kultury vznikala v tehdejším Československu řada. Aktivity členů zkoumaných spolků se soustředily na pořádání tematicky motivovaných setkání v oblasti výtvarného umění, literatury a poezie. I když se jejich členové bránili nazývat tyto akce performancemi či happeningy a formulovali je spíše jako snahy svobodně, odlehčeně a humorně reagovat na kuriózní vztah moci státu k obecnější úloze kultury ve společnosti, lze jejich činnost vnímat jako velmi intenzivní snahu tento tlak svým způsobem a dle svých možností, alespoň pro sebe samé, destabilizovat. Spolek Pohodlí, na základě přetrvávajícího přátelství dosud žijících členů a jejich snah o uchování kontinuity vlastní umělecké tvorby jeho členů, se schází i v současné době. Z důvodu 56 let dlouhé existence spolku a velkého množství prostřídaných členů, kteří byli různě umělecky angažovaní, není možné v rámci diplomové práce pojmout celou jeho historii a tvorbu jednotlivých osobností, a proto se budu ve výzkumu opírat o devět výtvarných umělců, jejichž tvorba však...

The aim of this diploma thesis is to introduce the relatively unknown societies of Pohodlí and Karel Hynek Mácha. The groups were formed in the 1960s as a reaction to the state of the broader society in the then Czechoslovakia, which was thoroughly controlled by the Communist regime, both in the socio-political and cultural spheres. A number of similar groups were formed in the cultural sphere of the country. The activities of the members in these discussed societies focused on the organization of thematically motivated meetings in the fields of visual arts, literature, and poetry. Although their members resisted calling these events performances or happenings, and formulated them more as attempts to respond freely, lightly, and humorously to the curious relationship of state power to the more general role of culture in society, their activities can be seen as a very intense and idiosyncratic effort to destabilize this pressure to the best of their ability, at least for themselves. Spolek Pohodlí (The Society of Convenience) continues to meet today, due to the enduring friendship of its living members and their efforts to preserve the continuity of the group's artistic output.
