Intimní vztahy lidí s handicapem

Abstract

Tato práce se snaží zachytit život lidí s handicapem a primárně jejich nahlížení na intimní vztahy jako komplexní interakci mezi jednotlivcem a společností. Cílem práce je odpovědět na otázky: Jakým bariérám čelí lidé s handicapem při navazování intimních vztahů? a Jakým způsobem se tyto bariéry snaží překonávat? K získání odpovědí byla využita rešerše odborných textů na toto téma a rovněž výsledky tematické analýzy 10 polostrukturovaných rozhovorů. Z výsledků vyplývá, že hlavními bariérami, kterým lidé s handicapem při navazování intimních vztahů čelí, jsou prostorové bariéry města a institucí a současně také společenské bariéry spojené primárně se stigmatizací a stereotypizací lidí s handicapem. Postoj neoliberální společnosti, rozlišující mezi "normálním" a "nenormálním" tělem, staví lidi s handicapem do nevýhodné pozice a diskriminuje je ze života ve společnosti a z možností intimního, rodinného, ale i pracovního života. Z výsledků analýzy rozhovorů dále vyplývá, že lidé s handicapem čelí značnému podhodnocování schopností ze strany společnosti a státu. Takové podceňování zahrnuje i navazování jejich intimních vztahů a představu, že se toto téma lidí s handicapem netýká. This bachelors thesis seeks to capture the lives of people with disabilities, primarely their view on intimate relationships as a complex interaction between the individual and society. The aim of the thesis is to answer the questions: What barriers do people with disabilities face in while building intimate relationships? and How do they try to overcome these barriers? A research of academic texts on the topic as well as the results of a thematic analysis of 10 semi-structured interviews were used to obtain the answers. The results show that the main barriers that people with disabilities face in establishing intimate relationships are spatial barriers of cities and institutions and social barriers primarily related to stigmatization and stereotyping of people with disabilities. The attitude of neoliberal society, distinguishing between "normal" and "abnormal" bodies, puts people with disabilities at a disadvantage and discriminates them from living in society and from the possibilities of intimate, family and working life. Furthermore, the results of the analysis of the interviews show, that people with disabilities face significant undervaluation of their abilities by society and the state.
