Vztahy EU a Austrálie v historickém a soudobém kontextu

Abstract

Diplomová práce se zabývá vývojem vztahů EU a Austrálie od jejich počátku v 50. a 60. letech 20. století až do současnosti. Cílem práce je představit téma v historickém a soudobém kontextu, vykreslit současnou podobu těchto vztahů a představit vývoj souvisejícího právního a institucionálního rámce dvoustranných vztahů, jakož i některé dílčí problémy, které rozvoj těchto vztahů provázely či nadále provázejí. Hlavní výzkumnou otázkou je následující: Proměňovala se kvalita vztahů EU - Austrálie v průběhu jejich historického vývoje? V práci jsou průběžně aplikovány 3 vybrané teorie mezinárodních vztahů, a sice realismus, liberalismus a konstruktivismus. Za účelem provedení analýzy tématu je využita metoda indukce i dedukce, analýzy, syntézy a komparace v rámci případové studie bilaterálních vztahů EU a Austrálie. Diplomová práce je proto členěna na 6 samostatných kapitol, z nichž každá má svůj specifický účel. První kapitola představuje tři základní rozměry vztahů - politický, ekonomický a sociální. Druhá kapitola si klade za cíl představit v základních rysech jednotlivé 3 vybrané teorie mezinárodních vztahů. Třetí kapitola představuje metodologický rámec práce. The thesis deals with the development of EU-Australia relations from their beginning in the 1950s and 1960s to the present day. The aim of the thesis is to introduce the topic in a historical and contemporary context, to portray the current form of these relations and to present the development of the related legal and institutional framework of bilateral relations, as well as some of the sub-issues that have accompanied or continue to accompany the development of these relations. The main research question is the following one: Has the quality of EU- Australia relations changed over the course of their historical development? The thesis will continuously apply 3 selected theories of international relations, namely realism, liberalism and constructivism. In order to analyse the topic, the methods of induction and deduction, analysis, synthesis and comparison will be used within the case study of the EU-Australia bilateral relations. The thesis is therefore structured into 6 separate chapters, each with its own specific purpose. The first chapter presents the three basic dimensions of the relationship - political, economic and social.
