Baudelairovy Malé básně v próze v českých překladech (Frída, Neumann, Jelínek, Fořt, Hron)

Abstract

Bakalářská práce bude zaměřena na existující české překlady souboru Malé básně v próze, který napsal francouzský spisovatel Charles Baudelaire. Úplný český překlad Malých básní v próze vytvořili pouze Hanuš Jelínek a Jaroslav Fořt ve 20. století. Několik částí Baudelairova souboru však už roku 1877 přeložil a časopisecky publikoval Bedřich Frída. Následně Stanislav Kostka Neumann v roce 1898 knižně vydal překlady osmnácti básní z tohoto díla. Nejnovější překlad pořídil Zdeněk Hron, který přeložil z Malých básní v próze pět básní. Text bude zpracován s využitím obvyklých translatologických metod (např. teorie Jiřího Levého). V potaz bude bráno všech pět zmíněných překladů, jež budou zároveň porovnány s francouzským originálem, a budou komentovány důležité změny a významové posuny v textu. Cílem práce bude porovnání a zhodnocení práce překladatelů různých generací a různého zaměření. V prvé řadě se však práce zaměří na překlad i osobnost Hanuše Jelínka, který byl zároveň také básníkem, esejistou a divadelním kritikem. Okrajově bude též v práci představen sám Charles Baudelaire.

The bachelor thesis will focus on the existing Czech translations of the set of Petits poèmes en prose written by the French poet Charles Baudelaire. Only Hanuš Jelínek and Jaroslav Fořt produced complete Czech translations of Petits poèmes en prose in the 20th century. However, several parts of Baudelaire's set were translated and published in a magazine by Bedřich Frída as early as 1877. Subsequently, in 1898, Stanislav Kostka Neumann published translations of eighteen poems from this work. The most recent translation was made by Zdeněk Hron, who translated five poems from Petits poèmes en prose. The text will be processed using the standard translatological methods (e.g. Jiří Levý's theory). All five of these translations will be taken into account and compared with the French original, and important changes and shifts in meaning in the text will be commented on. The aim of the work will be to compare and evaluate the work of translators of different generations and different specializations. First and foremost, however, the thesis will focus on the translation and personality of Hanuš Jelínek, who was also a poet, essayist and theatre critic. The thesis will also introduce Charles Baudelaire himself.
