Dějiny rodu na pozadí neklidné doby. Berkové z Dubé v raném novověku

Abstract

(česky) Tématem předkládané diplomové práce je starobylý český rod Berků z Dubé a působení jeho členů v delší časové perspektivě od vrcholného středověku do raného novověku, s těžištěm v 16. až 17. století, ve kterém jedna z hlavních větví rodu vymírá a druhá se trvale přesouvá v důsledku politicko-náboženských změn do Saska. Práce si klade za cíl rozšifrovat mnohdy nepřehlednou rodovou genealogii, přiblížit jednotlivé větve tohoto rodu a vzájemné propojení jeho členů. Pokud to prameny umožňují, je kladen důraz na životy jednotlivých Berků, na stopy, které zanechali v dějinách zemí Koruny české a na jejich působení u dvora i v zemské politice. Dílčím cílem bude zmapování náboženské problematiky a geografického rozložení rodových držav, dále také kulturního mecenátu jednotlivých Berků, zejména na příkladu rezidence v (Moravském) Šternberku a České Lípě.

(in English) The subject of the presented diploma thesis is the ancient Bohemian house of Berka of Dubá and the activities of its members in a longer time perspective from the High Middle Ages to the Early Modern Period, with a focus on the 16th and 17th centuries, when one of the two main branches of the house died out and the other permanently moved to Saxony due to political and religious changes. The aim of this work is to decipher the often unclear genealogy of the house, to present the individual branches of the house and the interconnection of its members. As far as the sources goes, emphasis is placed on the lives of individual Berka, on the traces they left in the history of the Lands of Bohemian Crown and on their activities at court and in provincial politics. A sub-goal is to map the religious issues and the geographical distribution of house estates, as well as the cultural patronage of individual Berka, especially on the example of the residences in (Moravian) Šternberk and Česká Lípa.
