Abstract

Diplomová práce zkoumá průběh krymské války z pohledu bulharských dobrovolníků, kteří se konfliktu účastnili na straně ruského impéria s cílem osvobodit svou zemi spod osmanské nadvlády. Sleduje, jak se formovaly bulharské oddíly, jaký vliv na jejich organizaci měly vlády Ruské říše a Srbského knížectví a jak probíhalo jejich bojové nasazení. Klíčovou otázkou práce je míra zapojení ruské a srbské vlády do organizace těchto jednotek a vztahy mezi jejich vládními představiteli a bulharskými vlastenci. Práce také sleduje životní cestu několika klíčových osobností bulharského národního obrození na pozadí válečných událostí a budování bulharských jednotek v emigraci. Dostupné prameny zahrnují současné a dobové monografie, biografie, denní a periodický tisk a disertační práce. The thesis examines the course of the Crimean War from the perspective of Bulgarian volunteers who took part in the conflict on the side of the Russian Empire in order to liberate their country from Ottoman rule. It traces how the Bulgarian troops were formed, what influence the governments of the Russian Empire and the Principality of Serbia had on their organisation, and how their combat deployment took place. A key issue of the work is the degree of involvement of the Russian and Serbian governments in the organization of these troops and the relations between their government officials and the Bulgarian patriots. The thesis also traces the life paths of several key figures of the Bulgarian national revival against the background of the war events and the building of Bulgarian troops in exile.
