Postava matky vražedkyně ve vybraných dílech Toni Morrison

Abstract

Diplomová práce se zabývá vývojem postavy matky vražedkyně v dílech Sula (1973), Milovaná (Beloved, 1987) a Ráj (Paradise, 1997) od Toni Morrison s přihlédnutím k motivu komunity. Hlavním teoretickým východiskem pro tuto analýzu je feministická literární teorie, především texty zaměřující se na téma násilí a mateřství, jak v obecné rovině, tak v kontextu genderové i rasové identity.

This master thesis is focused on the development of mother-murderer character in Toni Morrison's works Sula (1973), Beloved (1987) and Paradise (1997) with regard of the motif of community. The primary theoretical perspective of this analysis is a feminist literary theory, particulary texts dedicated to the topic of violence and motherhood, both in general and in context of gender and racial identity.
