Abstract

Cílem bakalářské práce je představit téměř neznámou osobnost Karla Svobody, původně vybraného člena paradesantní skupiny Anthropoid, který z úkolu odstoupil z důvodu zranění při výcviku. Autorku oslovil jeho pohnutý a smutný osud a zamýšlí se nad jeho jednáním v souvislosti s jeho povahou a situací, ve které se nacházel, a také nad kontextem doby. Ústředním mottem práce je myšlenka, že ani pokud má člověk odvahu a odhodlání pro věc, není to zárukou zdárného konce. Současně se práce dotkne reálií souvisejících s průběhem II. světové války na území Protektorátu Čechy a Morava jak s odbojem, tak s politickou situací. The aim of the bachelor thesis is to introduce the almost unknown personality of Karel Svoboda, the originally selected as a member of theAnthropoid paratroop group, who withdrew for the task due to injuries sustained during training. The author is drawn to his troubled and sad fate and reflects on his actions in relation to his character, the situation he was in and the context of the times. The central theme of the work is the idea that even if one has courage and commitment to a cause, there is no guarantee of a successful end. At the same time, the work touches the realia related to both the resistance and the politician situation during World War II in the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia.
