Das Komische im Drama "Der Talisman" von Johann Nepomuk Nestroy

Abstract

Satirická fraška "Der Talisman" je dokladem typicky Nestroyovského poselství, podle něhož lidé nejsou ničím jiným než pouhými blázny osudu. Vše se odvíjí od předsudku vůči ryšavosti. V průběhu celé analýzy bylo možné vysledovat, jak na základě používání jazyka dochází k odhalování jednotlivých osob. Prostřednictvím jazyka se tak dostávají na povrch omezenost, nadřazená inteligence, umělé vzorce chování a další charakteristické rysy. Symbolický význam jmen postav také nebyl zvolen náhodně, což bylo názorně ukázáno při rozboru příslušných pasáží textu. I jména souvisejí s jazykovým projevem představených osob. Bylo též možné velmi dobře sledovat vývoj hlavní postavy, kterou je Titus Feuerfuchs. Nestroyova jazyková virtuozita a rafinovanost se ve frašce "Der Talisman" jen potvrzují. Komično vyplývá z nejrůznějších zápletek, které nakonec vyústí v situační komiku. Abychom byli schopni odhalit všechny jazykové finesy, které Nestroy použil, je nutno si uvědomit především polysemii některých výrazů. Analýza frašky rovněž dokládá, do jaké míry je rétorická kompozice jednotlivých výpovědí relevantní pro hravé a rozmanité zacházení s odlišnými jazykovými rovinami.

The satiric farce "Talisman" testifies to the characteristic view of Johann Nestroy which considers people as nothing but mere fools of destiny. Everything stems from the prejudice against red hair. In the course of the entire analysis, we discover that the true nature of the individual is revealed by the way he speaks. The narrow-mindedness, superior intelligence, artificial manner of conduct and other characteristics then become apparent. The symbolic meaning of the characters' names were not chosen randomly as can be drawn from the text passages themselves. The names are also related to the way in which the individual characters speak. The development of the main character "Titus Feuerfuchs" can also be traced. The virtuosity and subtlety of Nestroy's language are clearly displayed in "Talisman". The comical nature of the piece stems from various plot developments which ultimately result in slapstick. The reader must be alert to double meanings for some expressions in order to discover all of Nestroy's sophisticated language riddles. We have become convinced that the rhetorical construction of certain statements is of particular relevance for the playful and multifaceted treatment of the various stylistic levels.
