Hodnocení bolesti na ARO z pohledu sestry

Abstract

Bolest silně ovlivňuje kvalitu života lidí. I v dnešní době je bolest v České republice problém podceňovaný jak zdravotníky, tak samotnými pacienty. Důsledkem této bagatelizace je mnohdy pouze okrajové řešení bolesti a ne vždy vhodnými prostředky. Pokrok v medicíně jde neustále kupředu. Nalézáme nová řešení, pro dříve neřešitelné problémy. Přesto je ve 21.století kvalita života lidí podstatně ovlivněna bolestí a lidé i dnes umírají v bolesti, kterou nedokážeme zcela odstranit. Ve zdravotnictví se s projevy bolesti setkáváme častěji než jinde. Z tohoto důvodu se má práce soustřeďuje na problematiku bolesti a jejího řešení. Cílem diplomové práce je zkoumání práce s bolestí na odděleních intenzivní péče. Zaměřila jsem se na anesteziologicko-resuscitační oddělení, kde jsou nejčastěji lidé s poruchou vědomí, kteří nemohou verbálně vyjádřit bolest. Snažila jsem se zjistit, zda sestry znají projevy bolesti, umí ji zhodnotit a jakým způsobem ji nejčastěji hodnotí. Rovněž mě zajímalo vedení dokumentace zaměřené na bolest. První část diplomové práce objasňuje teorii bolesti, která je zde stručně nastíněna. Ve druhé části práce jsou výsledky dotazníkového šetření. Pain has a strong impact on quality of life. Even nowadays, in Czech Republic pain is underestimated both by sanitarians and patients. In consequence of this depreciation, only marginal pain treatment applies and the means are not always appropriate. Progress in medicine goes forward all the time. We are finding new solutions for formerly insolvable problems. Despite of that, quality of life in 21.century is significantly influenced by pain and even these days people are dying in pain, which we are unable to abolish completely. In health care we witness pain more often then anywhere else. That is the reason for this work to focus on matters of pain and its treatment. The aim of this thesis is to investigate handling pain at the Intensive Care Units. I focused on departments of anesthesiology and intensive care, where most often are unconscious people who cannot express the pain verbally. I tried to observe if nurses are familiar with signs of pain, whether they are able to assess the pain and which is the most common way of this assessment.
