Ženy novinářky : genderové stereotypy na poli válečného zpravodajství

Abstract

Diplomová práce "Ženy novinářky: genderové stereotypy na poli válečného zpravodajství" je kvalitativní analýzou sebepojetí novinářek v oblasti válečné/konfliktní žurnalistiky. Pomocí polořízených otevřených rozhovorů s novinářkami, jež disponují zkušenostmi reportování z válečných nebo konfliktních oblastí, byl vytvořen sebeobraz profese. Cílem bylo zaměřit se na případné genderové stereotypy v profesi, které mohou ženy v oblasti válečného zpravodajství, jež je považováno převážně za doménu mužů, ovlivňovat. Snahou bylo zjistit, jak pohlaví novinářek působí v rámci zdůrazněné profese a jaké jim přináší výhody a nevýhody. Samotné analýze předcházela část, kde byla nastíněna problematika genderu v žurnalistice obecně, historický vývoj vstupu žen do profese, snaha mužů udržet je mimo ni a mechanismy, které vydělovaly tzv. ženskou žurnalistiku a přisuzovaly jí konotativní významy. Obsahem teoretické části je také vzdělání a výchova novinářek, genderová kultura a hodnoty v redakcích a představení jednotlivých ženských osobností - válečných i neválečných - které dosáhly v profesi úspěchu a podařilo se jim překonat genderové stereotypy. Popis válečného zpravodajství pak přibližuje rámec, ve kterém se pozorovaný jev odehrává.

Diploma thesis "The Women Journalists: The Gender Stereotypes on the Field of War News" is a qualitative analysis of women journalists self-perception on the field of war/conflict news. The self-illustration of the profession was gained by half-controlled open interviews with women journalists who experience reporting at war or conflict areas. The goal was to aim possible gender stereotypes which women journalists can be influenced in the profession considered to be a men's domain with.The effort was to find out how women journalists gender acts within framework of the distinctive profession and what advantages/disadvantages of their gender are. Before the analysis begins there is a part describing gender issues generally, women journalists' historical entering into profession, men's effort to keep them out and mechanisms which distinguish so called women journalism and attribute some connotation to it. The theoretical part of paper includes also women journalists' education, gendered newsroom cultures and values and presentation of women journalists (war and nonwar) who achieved success in their profession and overcame gender stereotypes. War news description will present framework of the observed phenomenon.
