Práce se zabývá problematikou internetové komunikace a komunit na internetu. Na začátku shrnuje dosavadní poznatky z oblasti komunikace, předkládá teorie a dělení. Dále následuje představení některých způsobů internetové komunikace. Poté popisuje aspekty internetové komunikace, jež sebou kyberprostor přináší. Po probrání problematiky komunikace se zaměřuje na problematiku komunit. Podrobněji se pak zabývá problematikou serveru Facebook.com. Po představení základních funkcí této stránky předkládá klady i zápory tohoto fenoménu posledních dní.
