The core of the thesis includes both description and analysis of ethical aspects of tapping and hidden camera in TV news and publicistics. The subject of the analysis consists of selected reports based on secret recording. These reports were broadcast either by Czech Television or TV Nova between the years 2006 and 2008. The main focus is dedicated to two investigative reports, which are significant for the development of tapping and hidden camera reporting in Czech Republic. The thesis aims to answer two fundamental questions. Under what circumstances are tapping and hidden camera ethically acceptable and secondly whether it is possible to define the border between ethical and non-ethical approach to it.
